Daniela Mineva

Saturday, February 11, 2012

Currently Assistant Piano Professor and Director of Keyboard Studies at Humboldt State, Bulgarian-born pianist Daniela Mineva played in several group concerts at HSU last year, notably with HSU violinist Cindy Moyer, and guest artists, violinist Bin Huang and pianist Caleb Harris.

Hailed by critics as a "vibrant and expressive performer who could steal the show in every concert", Daniela Mineva's unique approach to standard repertoir, combined with the performance of works by living composers, make her in demand as one of the most promising concert artists. As a pianist she has won numerous international competitions, and played major venues in the U.S. and Europe.

A strong proponent of new music, Ms. Mineva has collaborated with many young and established composers. She has performed with groups and worked in societies for new music.

Concert time is 7:30 p.m. at the Fortuna Monday Club, 610 Main Street in Fortuna. Ticket prices are $10 General Admission and $8 Students and Seniors.
Doors open at 6:45 p.m.
