Opening Night Gala

This year's gala opening of the Fortuna Concert Series will be a musical journey to the British Isles through the Celtic, British, and chamber music of Good Company.

This quartet of singers and multi-instrumentalists evokes vivid images of Celtic landscapes, seascapes, and peoples with its performance of music that ranges from ancient Irish airs and emigration ballads to rollicking reels.

Ann Marie Woolley, Sam McNeill, Bob Stockwell and Janet Finney play timeless melodies on violins, flute, mandolin, cello, guitar, recorder, harmonica, accordion, and bodhran (Irish hand-held drum). Irish dance group "The Silkies" will demonstrate traditional Irish Dance at the gala.

A gala champagne reception will begin at 7:15 p.m.
