Humboldt Ragtime Band

They're back! For the Finale to the 2002-2003 season we are pleased to welcome again the Humboldt Ragtime Band.

Over the past ten years the group has performed three times at the West Coast Ragtime Festival in Sacramento, six times at the Redwood Coast Dixieland Jazz Festival in Eureka, and at numerous school concerts locally and around the state.

The band members are Dana Christen, piano; David Demant, vocals and tuba; Frank Stover, clarinet and alto saxophone; Jill Petricca, flute and piccolo; Jimmy Durchslag, trombone; Michael McClimon, cornet and flugelhorn; and Michael LaBolle, drums.

The program will include classic piano rags, vintage dance arrangements of ragtime music, sentimental parlor songs, novelty rags in circus bond style and modern rags composed by resident composer, Frank Stover. This musical evening of old-time favorites is guaranteed to keep you singing and toe-tapping through the summer.
