Eureka Jazz Ensemble

What is this thing called Jazz? We look forward to an entertaining and informative evening with the educational group, Eureka Jazz Ensemble: Randy Carrico, woodwinds; Albert Clark, piano; Don Moehnke, leader (spokesman, emcee), trumpet, cornet, vibraphone; Bill Moehnke, percussion; Gregg Moore, trombone; and Bear Winkle, tuba, string bass.

Sponsored by The Redwood Coast Music Festivals, this group has brought the jazz experience to local schools in several communities including Eureka and Arcata. All members of the ensemble have performed extensively in a wide variety of jazz groups.

In this evening's program we'll experience early jazz, swing, Latin, bop, cool, and free jazz. Come and enjoy!
