The Northcoast Brass Ensemble + One

The Northcoast Brass Ensemble returns to the Fortuna Concert Series after a five-year hiatus.

Comprised of local music educators Chris Cox, Burt Codispoti, Ronite Glück, Dan Aldag and Fred Tempas, the brass quintet began over twelve years ago as a student ensemble at Humboldt State University. With only one original member remaining, the group has evolved, but continues a tradition of fine music-making. Local trombonist Bodie Pfost will join the group for the addition of some brass sextets.

Mixing the best of traditional and contemporary literature for brass with transcriptions of everything from classical to jazz and popular favorites, the Northcoast Brass Ensemble promises an enjoyable evening of musical variety.
